Company buys 120,000-square foot warehouse
SABINA — Seed Consultants Inc. has purchased a 120,000-square foot warehouse in this Clinton County community as part of a wider growth strategy, according to a news release.
Plans call for SCI to have the location to be operational sometime this winter.
Chris Jeffries, president and owner of SCI, in a statement said the Sabina facility’s location will heighten the company’s ability to promptly ship products to customers.
“We can bring in conditioned products from our two corn locations, Bradford (and) Brookville, Ohio, and do a more efficient job of putting truckloads together,” Jeffries said.
The company sells hybrid corn, seed beans, seed wheat, small seeds, herbicides and other products. Established in 1990, SCI has $35 million in gross sales and hopes to double its size in the next five years, according to a news release.
Tim Echemann of Sidney-based Industrial Property Brokers negotiated the deal, which took several months to pull together, according to a news release from IPB.
